HROSM HOSTS FOOD DRIVE IN SUPPORT OF THE VIRGINIA PENINSULA FOOD BANK
Newport News, VA, September 21, 2021 – Hampton Roads Orthopaedics Spine and Sports Medicine wants to give hope to families across Hampton Roads who struggle to put food on the table. HROSM is proud to announce a holiday food drive in support of the Peninsula Food Bank and the Hampton Roads community.
“We are excited to be hosting a food drive that will help feed families in need across Hampton Roads,” said Sara Garvin, Marketing Director, HROSM.
Bring a bag of food to any HROSM office location until Friday, November 5, 2021 and help feed hungry families right here at home! Donation boxes for non-perishable food items will be available in the lobbies of the Newport News, Williamsburg, Yorktown and Suffolk offices.
September is Hunger Action Month and hunger doesn’t take a vacation or a holiday. Please consider giving the gift of a meal this holiday season and help change lives for those that are food insecure.
Foods needed include:
- Canned ham, chicken, and tuna
- Peanut butter/jelly
- Hearty meaty soups, beef stew
- Boxed meals, instant potatoes, family size rice box
- Canned vegetables and fruits
- Whole grain cereals, oatmeal
