Meet Your Hampton Roads Podiatrist

M. Jordan Brassell, DPM, AACFAS is a board qualified podiatrist specializing in foot and ankle surgery and sports medicine. A Yorktown, VA native, Dr. Brassell attended both Tabb Middle and Tabb High School before serving as a full-time missionary for two years in Colombia. Following his time as a missionary, Dr. Brassell went on to earn his BS in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University, and later his DPM from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. During his residency training at Tower Health Phoenixville Hospital in the greater Philadelphia area, Dr. Brassell served as the chief resident specializing in sports medicine and elective foot and ankle reconstruction.

Throughout his career, Dr. Brassell has earned many professional honors and awards. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in both foot and ankle surgery, is a Certified Spanish Language Medical Interpreter and was a recipient of the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine Merit Scholarship. Dr. Brassell has presented scientific research at the annual American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (ACFAS) conferences and has authored many articles published in Podiatry Today.

Dr. Brassell is thrilled to join the Hampton Roads Orthopaedic Spine and Sports Medicine team and serve the Hampton Roads community. He enjoys helping people get moving and back to the activities they enjoy. Nothing brings him more fulfillment than making his patients happy. Within the field of podiatry, he is particularly interested in sports medicine, arthroscopy, minimally invasive surgery, foot and ankle reconstruction and total ankle replacements.

Outside of the office, you can find Dr. Brassell spending time with his wife and children, going to the beach, playing basketball, visiting historical sites, going to Busch Gardens, watching movies and serving his church and community.
