Meet Your Hampton Roads Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Podiatrist

Dr. Christopher Dreikorn, D.P.M., joined the Hampton Roads Orthopaedic Spine and Sports Medicine team in 2023. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the Virginia Military Institute and his Master of Biomedical Sciences from Eastern Mennonite University. Upon completing his master’s, Dr. Dreikorn went on to receive his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University and complete his residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He also has the following board certifications: Fellow, American College of Podiatric Medicine, and Associate, American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

Throughout the years, Dr. Dreikorn has been a recipient of several honors including becoming a Virginia Military Institute Platoon Lieutenant, the class president in medical school and the chief resident in his final year of residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Dr. Dreikorn specializes in Charcot reconstructions, total ankle replacements, lower extremity trauma, limb salvage and flatfoot reconstruction. As a podiatrist, he enjoys making personal connections with his patients, listening to their needs and expectations and helping them develop a treatment plan. One of his favorite parts of his job is helping his patients find relief from pain and get back to the activities and sports they love.

Dr. Dreikorn chose to become a podiatrist because he has always been interested in foot and ankle injuries. Growing up active in sports, Dr. Dreikorn and many of his teammates experienced foot and ankle injuries, and he was always particularly interested in how these injuries were treated.

Outside of the office, Dr. Dreikorn enjoys spending time at Lake Gaston with his wife and son, wake surfing, playing golf, working on cars and building custom furniture.
