Meet Our Physical Therapists


Bill-Powers-240x300Bill has been practicing therapy since 1980. He graduated Cum Laude from the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota. He joined Hampton Roads Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine and specializes in orthopaedics, pediatrics and bio mechanics of the foot and ankle. He has been recognized as an “Outstanding Young Man in America” in 1985 and 1986. Additionally, he was recognized in “Who’s Who in Medicine” from 1997-2000. He is a member of the Virginia Physical Therapy Association and the American Physical Therapy Association.


Marc-Forrest-240x300Marc has been providing care in orthopaedic physical therapy and sports medicine to the Tidewater area since joining Hampton Roads Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in July 2002. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia and subsequently attained his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia Campus of Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.  Marc is Board Certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties.  Additionally, he is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist and Certified in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment.  He is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association.


Chad Carlson-hrosm-blue-pt-RGBChad joined Hampton Roads Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in January 2016. He graduated
from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University with his Bachelors of Science Degree in Biology in May 2009.  He subsequently received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Lynchburg College in May 2013.   Prior to joining the physical therapy staff at HROSM, Chad served the Tidewater area practicing in geriatric rehabilitation and skilled nursing care.  Chad played defensive end for Virginia Tech from 2005- 2009 where he gained interest in orthopaedics and sports medicine.  He recently served as a volunteer football coach for Poquoson High School.  During his free time he enjoys playing guitar, sports, and boating.


Rob-Williams-240x300Rob has been practicing as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2003. He is a credentialed Clinical Instructor with the American Therapy Association with experience in both outpatient and home health therapy. In his spare time, Rob enjoys hiking, bicycling, and playing soccer with his wife Denise.

He has been practicing Physical Therapy since 1997 specializing in orthopaedic sports rehabilitation and joint replacement therapy. He has been a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant since 2000 and holds state licensure in both Rhode Island and Virginia.
